The aim of this site is to provide clear, accessible information to employers and employees about the work and family provisions in New South Wales industrial legislation and offer best practice advice for the balancing of work and family responsibilities.
There is a growing awareness of the need for flexible working arrangements to enable members of the NSW workforce to optimise their use of both work and private time to achieve efficiency and good recruitment/retention outcomes for business and manageable family lives for working people.
The NSW government is committed to encouraging and enabling employers and employees in the design of flexible workplace agreements and policies to further these ends.
